Our restaurant at Mill End is a highlight for both new and returning guests for its seasonally changing menus, beautifully presented dishes featuring the best of Dartmoor’s produce, and excellent value for money.
Our restaurant, headed by chef William Broom, brings the British palette into the 21st century every breakfast, lunch and dinner. Putting out fry ups, high teas and dinner menus of local produce daily. Our menus are seasonally updated and even the dishes on the menus are often evolved to look and taste even more delightful.
The restaurant is open to residents and non-residents daily for lunch. However, dinner is available for residents only. We strongly advise you to book a table for dinner in advance, particularly on weekends. Between March to October, we can accept dinner reservations at a maximum of one week in advance. We are also renowned for our fabulous Devon Cream Teas and Classic Afternoon Tea, best enjoyed in our lounge in front of the log fire or, in warmer weather, in one of our gardens.
On all food and drink bills there is a discretionary 10% service charge added, the entire service charge goes to staff across the hotel, if you are disappointed with your dining experience and would like us to remove this please do not hesitate to let us know.
Opening Times
We serve delicious food all day, and non-residents are always very welcome. Hearty breakfasts, tasty lunches, gorgeous Devon Cream Teas served daily in the summer and a comprehensive evening menu to enjoy. We can also serve a delightful afternoon tea with or without champagne for groups of 4 or more (must be pre-booked)
